Hi everyone,
just thought you may want to know i have a new website for FOMA black & white materials. Visit: www.blanconegrosupplies.com.au/WELCOME.html
It's very new, so I'm still finding and fixing bugs. Not all materials listed are available, but I will import your requirements. Any feedback will also be appreciated
APUG subscribers will also receive a 10% discount
regards
Chris

Thanks very much for the info, Chris. I might give some of the 100 speed film a try, if I get my order in before you run out.

I'm in the wrong country  but the Fomapan 100 is delicious film. Grainy for its speed, but with a beautiful tonality. It's well worth playing with.

Thanks for the info, Jim and Brian. I was going to ask what people thought of the film. If it really is like APX100, I'm sure I will love it.

I would just like to underline the fact that Foma still supplies b&w reversal film for double 8mm cine film, as well as a developing kit for it, and I'm glad to see that blanconegro has them in stock. For those like me who still enjoy making TRUE MOVIES, it is well worth reviving your cine camera and support this product before it's gone.

Thank you for this - you'll have my business when I've got the money for paper. I've been curious to try foma, but getting it in from freestyle photo was gonna be quite expensive. Tried plenty of the film but the paper's all new ground for me.

Freestyle carry Foma in 50 sheet 4x5" boxes, their cost is $35.00 AUD cheaper a box than the prices on the Blanco Negro site for the same product, as at a few minutes ago.

Whilst I understand that we operate in a different part of the planet, I do wonder sometimes.

One product that I manufacture and sell, is sold in the USA for $350.00 AUD, give or take. I sell the exact same product for $360.00 AUD one other manufacturer sells it for $365.00 AUD.

The rest of the manufacturers in Australia sell the exact same product, starting from $450.00 AUD and upwards, to just over $600.00 AUD.

Needles to say, I do quite well and move a rather disproportionate amount of this product, compared to other manufacturers.

I realise that Foma product is being brought in by a small importer, costs have to be amortised over a smaller amount of product, plus there is the GST of 10%, but if I purchase two 50 sheet boxes from the USA I am more or less quite a fair way in front.

I'm sure these are just some of the problems that Blanco Negro has thought long and hard about. If I was a Sydney resident I would probably call in and pick up a box of film and paper, being down here though, I will think twice with that price differential.

Mick.

Dear Mick, thanks for that, I will 2x the cost and see what's what, Cheers CR

Another question for Chris. On the ACP noticeboard there is a flier from Blanco Negro for Foma films that lists 4x5 boxes of 50 sheets at $55. Looks like a good deal to me & I was thinking of buying some when my current stocks run down. However on the site linked to in post 1 the price is given as $85 per box.

Dear Goldie, Thanks to Mick for pointing that out, I checked the pricing and the 5x4 is actually $60 per 50 sheets. ACP members get a 10% discount too.
CR
