I have never used this film and dev combo, although I have used both quite a bit. I have some 8x10 sheets of Foma 200 in it's Arista incarnation. I was going to use HC-110 dil H (3oz Dil B + 3oz water?) to give me a longer dev time.
While the time listed on the MDC for Foma 200 in HC-110 B is 3.5 minutes, the time listed for dilution H is quite different (11.5 minutes?!?!?!)
I have found that dilution H times are usually double the dilution B times... But this is way more than that... I don't get it...
Does anyone have any suggestions? I really need these to work for a project... Is the MDC time of Fomapan 200 - HC-110 - 11.5 min @ 20C accurate?
Below info from Freestyle's data sheet. HC-110 not recommended. I'd recommend to take whatever time that are recommended to you at the MDC, sacrifice a couple of sheets and do some testing. Dev times are always a starting point anyway.
DEVELOPER (Kodak HC-110) / DILUTION 1:31 / TIME (68°F/20°C) - NR
I'm too lazy to do the numbers, but 8x10 is like a whole roll of rollfilm -- mayhaps 6 oz of Dilution H might be a bit short on developer? (Which might be somewhat corrected, albeit not too reliably, by longer development.)
I've been using HC110 Dil "H" for 10 min @ 20C in a rotary tank (Jobo 2551) with good result. Now I'm onto Foma 100, and have been searching for times for that with HC-110.
