I do agree something 'funny' is going on with Kodak bulk rolls.

Not "funny", just really different.
Finishing/confectioning costs per roll are relatively far, far greater than they once were - due to tiny volumes.
Whereas the efficiency of finishing/confectioning costs per roll for individual rolls are actually relatively much lower than they once were.

Apparently, it's 4/5th the price of one in the US.

Foma 400 100 foot roll is 1/2 the price of Tmax 400 100 foot roll.

What's not included in the BM Index is the number of BM's required per bulk roll...there may be regional differences...

It looks like a K-20 camera. (or a previous model of it).
The thing about the K-20 is that you should NEVER dry-fire the shutter as this will kill the membrane that sucks the film flat on exposure.
I would at least cover up the 'pressure plate' openings with a sheet of 4x5" to prevent this from happening, if you're running a thinner film through it.

As for the film transportation having iffy frame spacing, I think that is regulated by the frame-counter taking into account the amount of film wound on the take-up spool.
