Look at what I picked up this weekend. Although it is dirty it appears to be complete, other then glass. It is solid so it will clean up well. I will be refinishing it.

I will have to rewire it. There are 10 bulb spots. 1 for a safety light and the other divided for a Lo and High output. The amber bulb is a Kodak bulb.

The Electrical code was different them. This is a metal splice that is open to be touched.

I cannot find any information on this device. Would love to get any that someone here might have.

So I did find this patent #1,230,392. Other wise no references about the professional version.

Already taken apart. Nothing is broken or lose. Just cleaning and refinishing.

I will set it up for both alternate and standard contact printing.

Great find. It would have been made for plate negatives, so there would have been no glass.

What an unusual and beautiful find. The case is made from that oak which was fumed with ammonia. That was popular early in the Arts and Crafts movement in the United States. I have a 1910s or 1920s desk made from fumed oak.

Alright it has been awhile but I finally finished repairing this printer. I found it will do 8x10 glass plates or any size negative, with a piece of glass added. It is in working condition now and hope to use it this weekend.

I powder coated the metal Black because I thought it looked better then the nickle. Otherwise all the original parts are there. Wiring has been updated to current standards, it was pretty dangerous the way it was.

Wow, you did a great job. I have a beautiful 1917 Folmer and Schwing 11x14 commercial camera. Such amazing things.

I have one of these with the glass. Overall yours is in better shape than mine. I’m looking for a home for it. Anyone have any idea of who might want it?

Hopefully someone on the West Coast will chime in here and want it.

I'd love to have it, but it's simply not feasible.

You might also try the Large Format Photography board if you don't have any interest here:

Welcome to Photrio, @StacyS!
In case you'd like to give this item away, we have a special provision where you can make an advert and we'll place it in the Classifieds section for you. This only applies to items you'll give away for free or at the cost of shipping. Here's how it works:
You want to give some stuff away for free
Sometimes, you just have some leftover stuff and instead of (or before) carting it away to the junkyard, you consider offering it to anyone who might have a good use for it. We consider this a service to the community and as such, we would like to facilitate this within reasonable limits. To make this possible, we suggest you do the following:
  • Navigate to the Lounge subforum
  • Post a thread the same way you would post a regular ad, i.e. describe the item, provide information about pickup/shipping etc. See the hints above about what to include in an ad.
  • Now use the 'Report' function on the thread you've just made. The 'Report' link appears at the bottom left of your post. In the text box that appears ('Report reason'), indicate that you want your post to be treated as an ad for a free item.
  • We evaluate your request and if we feel it's appropriate, we will then move your post to the Classifieds and tag it as 'Free'. From here, it will function the same as any other ad.
