I have about a 50 sheets of Luminois VC Fiber Paper left over from a full box I opened last winter. I noticed the paper now has grey fog to it. I'm quite sure this is from age, the box had been around a while before I opened it. I know I have read this somewhere ,but I cant find exact instructions, I believe I can add some potassium bromide to a developer to relieve the fog. If this is so, how much should I add to say one liter of working solution of a common developer like Dektol. Any suggestions to save the paper welcomed.

I occasionally add some bromide to Dektol to warm up Ilford warm tone fiber paper. About 1/2 teaspoon to a quart of working solution. Bromide for fogged paper is not something I've tried, however. If the paper is salvageable at all, you may have better luck with benzotriazole. I think Kodak and Edwal sell it as an anti fog agent. If the paper is noticeably gray, however, it may be beyond hope.

James,

I start with 50ml per liter of Benzotriazole, then go up from there. It does seem to lesson the contrast some. Any of the photo chemical places would sell it.
