Recently purchased 500c/m is giving a vertical fog using A12 back.(see attached ).Doesn’t always happen, also taped film back and it still occurred? The film back has other problems (goes past #1 when loaded off camera) I guess I could return for a different back and see what happens ?Any thoughts ? Thank you in advance.

The first thing to look at is the slot where the dark slide goes in: odds are the seal needs replacement.

Correct, the classic Hasselblad seal light leak looks like that. You could replace the seals, but what if it still happened for some reason? I recommend returning the back and let it be the seller's problem.

I've done a seal replacement and it's entirely something you can do yourself with patience and care if you have a modicum of mechanical aptitude. The improper winding problems are showstopper though. I'd return it for a refund if possible.
