Focusing via cam on old studio cameras

I just got this beauty of a beast on feePay - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290054582422

I'm going to build a base for it, and I was wondering if anyone has any good close-up photos or diagrams of how the cammed fine-focus mechanism on beasts like this was assembled. This will be the studio monster for me to put my big brass cannon on, and any other monster lenses that need a big packard shutter.

For some reason, this popped into my head...
When I was younger, my father had a table (made by black and decker I believe) that was more or less a vice-table. It had these plastic dolls that you would insert into various holes in the table, insert your piece of wood, then using worm gears, crank the table together (thus clamping the wood).
One thing of interest here, is that you could independently control the left side from the right side (to a point...perhaps 50 degrees of difference).

Much appreciated, Jim. This will be a fun project. I've already got visions of how to build the bed - I'll just have to find a Majestic head for it as well, so I can mount the thing on one of my other tripods when it's done.

What kind of camera is this pic of? Is it in fact an E&HT Anthony (as the seller indicated for the camera mentioned at the head of this thread?).

I have seen essentially this mechanism on E&HT Anthony studio cameras. However, George Eastman House has a studio camera with a fine focusing mechanism something like this (I haven't seen the picture yet) with "Burke & James" on the focusing lever itself (no markings elsewhere on the camera). Of course, that may well have been made for B&J by E&HT Anthony.
