Focus in viewfinder doesn't match Live View

I double checked things using my live view feature and if I focus there all is ok. Is there some way to adjust the viewfinder so it focuses properly? I live in Canada so suggesting I send it to an American technician is not a viable solution. I am hoping I can do this myself with a little direction.
