I am looking for a copy of instructions for a Leica Focometer 2 timer/exposure meter. These microprossesor based units were usually sold with the Leitz V35 enlarger and are capable of determing print exposure time and contrast by using a baseboard probe. Basic timer functions are easy to work out but the more advanced exposure measurements would be a lot easier to perform with the aid of an instruction manual.

Hans, thanks for the informaton, unfortunatly that site only has the instructons for the Focometer Quartz which is an earlier model, a friend of mine has one of these units which is fairly straight forward to operate. The Focomater model 2 has a more involved measurement procedure that requires the unit to be calibrated to the paper used and this measurement is then used as a basis for further mesurements. Unlike the quartz model which is more analog in its set up, unlike the model 2 which has push buttons and digital displays, with calibration information stored in 10 memory locations

I have had some success in setting the timer for basic measurements, but a set of instruction would be nice in working out the more advance measurements.

Without instructions I am not sure if the unit is all that useful for single prints or more suited to multiple print runs, I may just go back to using the good old test strip method for determing exposure and contrast setting which I use for my MF work. Ray.
