Hello,

I have finally gotten a magscale for my version I Focomat Ic (1951) and it came with the string missing.

I think I can easily use some replacement string but would like to know the length of it and how is it installed on the pulley.

If you have one could you take some pictures of it and measure the string?

Thanks a lot,
Ben

This is the part I am looking for - the length of the string so I can reproduce it. Also if you had one - if you could explain how the string is fastened to the pulley.

Thanks,
Ben

Let’s give it one more try. Anyone with a Ic and a working Magnification scale out there?

Thanks,
Ben

Mine got ripped off & half of it got lost in transport in my car from the Leica dealer to my home. BUMMER!! I know it is a thin, flat ribbon. But the magnifiction light doesn't work so big deal.

Yeah it’s not like I’ll rely on it or anything I just want this fully restored to its original glory.

Thin flat ribbon, so at least we have one of the variables fixed

Thanks,
Ben

The ribbon is about 1/4 inch wide. I only have half of it so can't tell you the length, which is important, I think.
