I just checked the Freestyle website and it looks like this most excellent film will again be available come OCT! It will also be available as EDU ULTRA 200 yipee! This is my favorite film for 5x7 as I can get the contrast desired for salt printing by just developing longer no special developer needed!

Every time I have checked until just yesterday it has not been there in 4x5 or any other format unless I have been in an alternate universe.

I just hope the new emulsion is hardened more than the one that is released this days, because there are marks everywhere !

Why not use a hardening fixer?

Because it won't help: emulsion is so soft that damages are made in the camera, not while developing.

It's a well known quality problem!

I'm convinced a lot of the scratches occurred in either the mfg or packaging phase. It was what otherwise ruined a number of 8X10 shots for me. Too bad, because this film has remarkable shadow
separation characteristics.
