For Mac users, check out this application created for film testing and processing. Note that it is for Leopard only. Looks pretty neat, and it is just plain nice that someone is thinking about people like us.

I'm glad they didn't; "cross platform" applications normally just look sub-standard on all the platforms they support. Committing to one means you can really make the most of all the features that platform offers (like the iSync integration which the author mentions in that other thread.)

The app is Mac only. I am sorry, but I simply have not the skills to develop a similar app for Windows.

And by the way, I know what a pencil is It's just that sometimes, I feel more comfortable using a computer

I understand. It's just my hope that now that OS-X is out, people will start coding for a broader range of platforms, which is entirely possible on the BSD-Unix underpinning of OS-X, and essentially compatible with X-windows GUIs on Unix and LInux (not MS-Windows except with a virtual machine). That BSD-Unix foundation for OS-X has brought a tremendous amount of software to the Mac from the X-windows world. I'd just like for it to become more of a two way street over time.

No need to apologize. I've stock in Apple and think it
good business they have additional Apple only software.
Besides the MS OS has too huge a selection; a developer
is lost in that abundance.

How about the spread-sheet now included with their
most recent " iWork " package. Would integration be
a possibility?

BTW, a half hour ago I placed a phone order for
a Mac Mini and Cannon MP520 printer. Good
deal; $100 off on a selection of printers
with any Mac purchase. Dan

Thanks for the ideas, specially the integration with Numbers, it's something I just didn't noticed.

I am planing to make the data stored in the app available for the iPod in a coming new version.

actually I do this with a simple excel sheet. |My Index| |film| |ei| |time| | temp| |developer| |agitation - methods| |comments (like: forgot to take the watch off while reeling in, prints nicely, too thin, next time longer)|

that is all I need. I started this 2007 and by now it is not too complicated. So I do not really see the use of this app.
but looks nice nevertheless.

Don't know about the iPod, but the Nano has a stopwatch built in. It also keeps a record of the date, time and duration each time the stopwatch is used.

There are four iPods. The Shuffle has no screen. The Nano,
Classic, and Touch have screens. Possible exportable data?
