Hi Everyone,
I've started having this weird issue with my FM2. If load film onto the takeup spool and then rotate the takeup spool inwards with my thumb as instructed in the Nikon manual, after I close the back and want to shoot, the film advance lever doesn't engage; when I pull the lever it's completely loose. In this case I have to use the coin trick to reset my camera.
However, alternatively if I load the film and don't rotate the spool with my finger, instead using only the film advance lever to wind the film onto the spool, everything is fine.
Why is this the case??
