In my excitement of processing my first negs at home I forgot to measure how much fluid my new Paterson single-spool 35mm tank holds before I loaded the film last night, and my loading room is only totally dark at night

Anybody know off-hand? I'm guessing around 300ml?

So you have film in the tank and cant take it out to test the fill up? So do a prewash, fill the tank with water to the top and pour it into a measuring cup. The right amount will be a lttle less than what comes out from this trial as you need some open space at the top to allow for agitation.

After you get over your excitement you can do a fill test with the top off and see how much it takes to cover the reel sufficiently, probably during your rinse cycle.

On my plastic tanks it is printed on the bottom of the tank. But I'm not in my darkroom so I can check to see if I have Patterson tanks.

10oz per 35mm roll, or 290ml, or as someone above suggested 300ml won't hurt

Thanks all. I successfully developed my first roll at home today, while watching (more or less ;-)) my 3 and 6 year old kids. The amount is indeed printed on the bottom of the tank, but I didn't notice that until I was washing up.
