I'm checking into storage sites such as the above and seeking advice. I'm not looking to develop my own site yet and need someplace to store photo's for family and for sale. SmugMug although $150 a year looks like it has more creative features. Flickr being a Yahoo group makes me wonder if I'll get all the spam I once got when I had joined a group once, but it is free, or so I guess. Maybe there are others available?

I use smugmug (Pro account) and like it overall. It would have plenty of creative possibility for your purposes; I'm not sure how the features break down but it's possible an account level less than Pro might serve your needs at a lower price.

Have you looked at PBase?

As a marketing tool it may be a bit barebones, but you get 400 MB storage for $23 a year. It is possible to create your own style sheets and go beyond the default tools, but I haven't investigated any of that. At any rate, it's uncluttered and pop-up free.

I must have been looking at the pro account for the $150 a year which I saw. I see when looking around some more that the standard account is $39.95, which at that price is probably a deal.

I have Photobucket and Flickr accounts. I prefer Photobucket, it is more straightforward and easier to use than Flickr.
