Hi guys. Recently I purchased a Pentax 67, and while it has been a fabulous landscape camera so far, today I encountered a major road bump while working in a studion situation. After setting up everything and getting the studio strobes plugged into the PC sync socket, I could not get the camera to trip the flash. I tried using the hot shoe grip, and that failed as well. Any advice?
You tested the cord going into the Pentax, of course. Shorted it with the end of a paper clip, so you know the cord is o.k. Some times the camera pc connection get's oxidation on it. There used to be little abrasive cleaning tools that fit the pc connection. Perhaps a drop of lighter fluid on the male end, then connecting and rotating might work if a dirty camera contact is the problem.
