Flash Guns

Were flash guns standardized? I'd love to get a flash for my Bolsey Model B2, but I don't know if it needs to be a Bolsey branded flash or if I can use any old flash that I find.

I think you do need to get the Bolsey flash gun because the camera doesn't have a standard hot shoe or PC sync port. Besides it's only sync with flash bulb not electronic flash.
