I just received my Mamiya 6 (not the folder) and would like suggestions for a smallish flash for the hot shoe. I have a Vivitar 285 but it's a little big. Just looking for something for indoor for up to about 15 feet.

I've had good luck with the little Sunpak flashes over the years. 121 is the one I have right now.

If there is a camera store or thrift shop near you, they might have small flashes like you want for almost nothing. Check for battery corrosion, plop down your three dollars, and take a chance!

I'm showing this for the two flashes. The Vivitar is tiny, but it is low power and not automatic. I agree with Dan, above, the Sunpak flashes are nice. The smallest Sunpak I have is in the picture. The Sunpak is very nice for its size, having a thyristor and two "Auto" ranges. I have two other Sunpaks that are each just a little bigger.

I realize the OP has probably figured this out, but what about the Nikon sb-27.
