Flash Advice Needed

A coworker is willing to sell me a Sunpak 544 for a price of 75.U.S. to go with my Crown Graphic. Anyone have experience with one of these? If so, please advise. Thanks much.

They were OK potato masher units.
Test it & make sure it works and the bracket & cord is there before forking over any $$$ though. I (read cheapskate) think the price is a little on the high side.
I buy Vivitar 283/85's for $5-10 at yard sales.
