Has anyone made a homemade PC Tip Conditioner or similar device? It seems that a slightly tapered reamed hole in a brass (or steel) rod should work to reform the tip. Or maybe just a tapered hole in a plate. Can anyone decribe a tip conditioner that they own? Advice, suggestions?

Thanks,

Ken

Pretty much describes it. You also have an end the moves the center pin slightly off center for better contact.
They are cheap, why not order one? It would probably be cheaper than DIY.

Thanks, I wouldn't bother with making one except I can't get one locally and need to have a synch cord tip working reliably by the weekend!
