I'm trying to figure out the proper way to stack my Binema 75 and Femocon 50 in order to print 35mm with my M805.
From the manual (which also includes a graphic, which I have attached):
"The BIMACON 75 double condenser is available for 6x6 cm films and the BIMACON 75 plus FEMOCON 50 combination for 24x36mm and smaller film sizes.
...
The supplementary FEMOCON 50 condenser is placed on top of the BIMACON 75 condenser with the plane lens side up."
Which is all well and good. Except when I place the Femocon 50 inside the top of the Bimacon 75, it gets stuck in there pretty solidly. It's rather difficult to remove, involving pressing on the metal frame and rocking it back and forth upside down until I can dislodge it far enough to stick something under an edge and carefully pull it out.
This seems... un-Durstlike to me, which makes me believe I'm doing something wrong
Everything else about this enlarger is seamless and thoughtfully engineered. I would think that changing the condenser assembly between 35mm and 6x6 should not take 10 minutes with the lights on. Am I missing something?
Can anyone who has worked with the M805 or a similar piece of equipment comment? I would greatly appreciate it!
