Just got around to shooting with my new to me Busch Pressman C, it has a Kodak 101, 4.5, used Foma 400 rated at 200 to develop in D76 or Rodinal 1:25. After 50 years of shooting with 4X5 Crown and Speed the Pressman is very light, able to keep 4 film holders in my cargo pants pockets and light meter in the other. Series 5 lens hood and black and white contrast filters, so much easier to manage than Series 6, and I was able to use a lighter tripod. Only downside to the pressman C is that the lens cannot be changed in the field, well they can but you need a small screw driver and make sure not to drop the 4 screws to hold the lens board in place. The rangefinder is accurate. I took a few shots with lots of movement, the lens stopped down to F 22, see if the Kodak will cover. If not will get a Topcon 104. Compared to my Mamiya Universal, much lighter, don't need to shoot a roll of film just take shoot what I need. Downside is cost of 2 1/4 X 3 1/4 sheet film is almost the same as 4X5 and only a few emulsions available. .

Own trimming is best way to go with this size. It becomes half price of 4x5 with selection equal to 4x5.

Adox CHS 100 II, great film, is 21.5o EUR at Fotoimpex, not sure how much Freestyle charges.

I slice my own from Xray film.

Right now I'm trying to get Instax Mini film into some holders with varying degrees of success.

Freestyle prices are about same for all bands. Just developed, the Kodak 101 will not cover much in the way of movements. Wonder why Busch and Graphic did not uses lens that would cover all the movements build into the camera, If I cant find a Schneider 101 and go with a Topcon 104 will stip the rangefinder off as it will be accurate, then again maybe a Schneider 101 will cover, maybe maybe not.

Adox costs same as Ilford and Kodak? How come?

In this size there is only Adox, Ilford sort of at price of 4x5 when you get to be chosen the lucky one to get some with ULF program. Given choice there is no option, Adox aside, but slice own, and with that it gets much cheaper.

For Adox films Freestyle charge almost double the price of the same film sold by Fotoimpex. I recently ordered 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 and 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 Adox film from Fotoimpex and saved a significant amount of money, even taking the shipping with the Covid-19 Surcharge into account. The downside was that I had to wait a couple of months to receive my order, thanks to delays due to Covid-19. I live in California and routinely order from Freestyle, but their price for Adox films are too high for my budget.

Thanks for the tip, might give them a try. I like the format, need to upgrade the lens, looking at my options, finding a 101mm other than Wollensake or Kodak, most common is Topcon 104 for the Horseman, did see a 100 Schneider for 6X9 Linhof might be close enough that it will match the focus arm and rail of my Busch. That it matters all that much, I can rejust the rail stops for 100 at infinity which is likely the most common focus for landscapes.

@Paul Howell There is only ONE film regularly produced in this format - Adox. Ilford does NOT make it at all, it's on ULF program as far as I could find. If someone wants to correct me - fine, I'll be happy to know FP4+ is available off the shelf throughout the year. Except it's price is what 4x5 sells for, so no, I will not buy it.

I have a box of the EDU 400, shoot some Kodak Min-R I cut down myself, and use a 6x9 roll back.

Next step if finding some 4x5 to cut down.

I love the form factor of my Century Graphic.

Make sure the size is actually 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 (6cm x 9cm). I had a similar idea of cuttling 120 strip fom my Baby Graphic, but the film width is different.

Actual sheet size 6.35 x 8.85 mm. This is what Adox is cutting its sheets to.

The sheets for the Graphics are right at 2.2"x3.2", which works out to 5.6cmx8.1cm. So the size noted above will not fit in the holders. It would seem reasonable that the Pressman may have used the same size.

I thought I erased my post. Correct, I was showing size for 6.5x9 cm sheet size, which is different form discussed.
