M.A.Longmore actually no. the time between the darkroom and the exposure and printing was super low so I didn't feel the need to. I probably will before the next though, this was just a test.

Hi BCarlson,

You can call me Ron.
I thought that somewhat " Flared " look was due to the shiny interior of the paint can.
Maybe it's from the edge of the " Pinhole " ?

Excellent Job !

brendan, great first effort...keep it up, but yeah, if you get some flat black auto spray paint -- and they make some that is so flat black it almost disappears -- it will cut the flaring. I've sprayed the insides of some plastic cameras (holga, russian) and gotten great results with it as well.

It probably is, to be honest though I thought it was kinda cool :D .
Btw, my name is Brendan, I should change my name to my real name.

Hi Brendan,

The flare does add to that type of photograph.
Maybe you'll need two paint cans, one painted,
one unpainted. Sometimes two paint cans are
better thane one. Never thought there would
be Paint Can GAS ?

Brendan,

Are you aware of f295 forum , there there are many pinhole camera plans including anamophic pinhole camera plans. You will like it and it produces super sharp wideangle pictures. I liked your picture , its a cool one.

Welcome to APUG and keep us posted with new pictures.

If you need a sharper image , may be lenox laser pinholes would help , they sell them around 30 or less dollars.

Anamophic pinhole camera is a tin can where the pinhole opened at the top not front.
As you know cameras generally put film in behind of lens.
This camera does it also but the axis of light coming from the pinhole is parallel to the film.
