Well, I just replaced the light seals on my Canonet QL17. The door is a little tight, but it should be fine. Time to run a roll through it and see how it looks.

Yeah, the Canonet had a couple that had odd placement, but I think it should be fine even with the tight film door.

I used slightly denser-than-stock foam when I did my Canonet. It was tight like that too. As long as it's not too tight (to the point of placing undue stress on the latch & hinge), I wouldn't worry about it. In fact, it might be a good thing, as the foam will compress over time.
