The more I've thought about things the last few weeks, the more I'm leaning towards buying a higher end fixed lens point and shoot (coolpix a, ricoh gr…), so I can just have a digital to play with and take with me wherever I go, and then continue to shoot with the nikons, and work in the darkroom when I can, and in the meantime work on learning more about photoshop. Let's be honest, in 2015, I should learn photoshop if I'm into photography! I can throw any of these camera's in a bag, have fun shooting the streets in chicago, or even landscapes, and in the process learn photoshop, with making an abrupt change, or have to spend major money.

There is a small craft distillery down the road from my house. They make a mean rye too.

I think that's an excellent plan. I'd try to learn Lightroom / Camera Raw as well as Photoshop. The current Adobe subscription gives you both for $10 a month.

Hey Lenny, thanks for the thoughts. I've posted enough times on APUG, where I failed to articulate exactly what it was I was attempting to do, so I'm learning!

What I want to say typically sounds better before I actually say it.
