Hi
I have 3 negatives developed yesterday and while handling smudged them up in a couple of spots. I was thinking of putting them in a bucket of water with a bit of dishwashing soap and letting them dry again. Are there other ways?
Thanks

Emulsion side do not touch, but top of the negative you can try to clean with cotton pads, work to be done with gloves. If you will use water for rewash - use demineralized water.

i use a commercial negative cleaner that is something like the stuff you use to clean your glasses that the optical shop sells. You could probably use that, too.

soapy water won't hurt, just be sure to rinse.
