For me the price counts as well, not only that it's available at the supermarket.
The Paracetamol version of Rodinal needed so many pills that I'm not interested...
The fine grain issue bothers me less now than back when I was shooting mostly 35mm, and then I solved it by either using efke 25 ISO film or embracing the grain and pushing trix in Rodinal.
But I have used Aculux and XTOL for finegrain developers a lot, and I already think Caffenol is pretty close. I have NOT tried to "pull" any film yet, in any developer, ever.
