I have seen some very fine work on here, and was just wondering how many people on here have been published? And what magazines?

I've been fortunate to be published several times. Black and White Magazine (UK version, Miss Ailsa is an APUG fan).

I have had articles published in LensWork. Portfolios in LensWork Extended #57, and (coming soon) LensWork Extended #64.

And of course, published my own website.

Published but not in a magazine. Did an album cover for a local band 12 years ago. I still have the CD but don't really like their music much. Luke

I've had a few of my shots on local bands' cds also. Nothing major, most of the bands are not around anymore. I've been published in Virginia Wildlife Magazine.

Not much. Two in Cirle of Photography (I know). Blue ribbon for a portrait at the Delaware State Fair for a portrait. Entering a few more this year. We'll see what happens. Not into the notariaty part of clicking right now. Just the 'For Me' and the 'Pass It On' aspects.

I've had a fair amount of experience with being published. TIME, Newsweek, Rolling Stone, SPIN, Wired, Money, Fortune, B&W, Popular Photography, TIME/Life Books and New York Times Magazine among many, many others - including a boatload of CD and record jackets. I used to do a lot of Rock and Roll and Country musicians as well. It's been a good run so far and I have been very lucky. Not much commercial work for me anymore though. It's a tough world. Diminishing rights and small assignment and placement fees have led to the point where it really isn't worth it anymore. There are a lot of photographers that used to do quite well that are having a very rough time of it these days.

I don't really follow that market, I mainly do print sales. I did have an image run in a New Zealand magazine last year, and in report from the Governor of Hawaii a couple of years ago - but I don't actively seek publishing, at the moment.

i used to shoot for a newspaper so i was published all the time ... one of the skyline pictures of providence (RI) i took is basically used by the city in all their ads that show the city, i don't keep track of where or when they publish it cause it was bought outright. i have have done photography for websites, trade magazines, annual reports, if you get institutional investor magazine ... i was just published in their march edition  .

i submit regularly to archives the federal and state (maine + mass) versions of habs/haer program ( and i make hand stitched (photography)books for libraries)

One of my portfolios was published on a Portuguese magazine last year, 15 images.
Curiously, I felt much better with the selection of one of my images to the APUG postcard, that made me feel really good, as for the magazine, I don`t even know where it is, the postcard I have it on the wall:wink:.

Cheers

André
