Howdy all...

I have a Premiere safelight, a little 5x7 rectangle with removeable filters. I need a dark green one, and can't find one anywhere. Does anyone use this light for DBI? I could switch to the bullet kind, which does have green filters available; I just would hate to buy a new light and filter if I don't have to.

Thanks!

I bought a couple of filters from Kodak...then I had them cut down to the correct size. The problem that I encountered is that the filter coloration is brought about by a plastic overlay of the glass underneath and this makes getting a good even cut difficult.

I have a Hansa safelight glass #5 for panchromatic filter for my premier. Fit great and is what I use for DBI. Maybe you can contact Premier and get one that fits as I think Hansa is out of business...

I have the bullet and the #3 I got from Camera Co\Op. That is one of Jorge's prior employees.

Yep!! as a matter of fact I found the filter I use in their old and orphans bin one day I was bored and we had no customers.

Mine is a brand new one that Carol sold me for 8 dollars or some such. That was all the loose dollars I had on me at the time.

I am told Premiere doesn't make one. Is there something of the right shade or density I can just cut down to 5x7?

That's 5.5 inches in diameter, though.... not quite enough to fill 5x7, unless you put a mask around the sides or something.

LF is right besides 5x7 is a rectangle and this one is round.

David, Kodak has discontinued most of their 5x7 safelight filters but they still make a #3dark green in 8x10" size.Stock number is 152-1632. List price is
$73.90 each(ouch) but I could order you one for $60 and I would pay to ground ship it to you. I don't know how easy it would be to cut down but you would end up with two 5x7's. Thanks Jim
