Was loading a roll of film, pressed my thumb against the shudder curtain, quickly withdrew the offending appendage, but not before I had pressed with enough force to push in the curtain. No damage to the curtain, but I pushed a small part on the top free of its glue on the frame. My question is it repairable? Any help or sympathy appreciated.
Thanks

No help, but tons of sympathy. Pentax 6x7 is my main camera these days. Love it, but loading film in that thing is a pain. What happened to you came very close to happening to me.

Hope you can get it repaired for a reasonable price, or that someone points you to a simple DIY fix. If not, at least 6x7 bodies, without lens or finder, aren't going for too much these days.

Best of luck.

Long story short. Found a mint 6x7, on eBay. Japan of course. I have a copy of the service manual for the 6x7, and it is horrendous, I ordered the camera, received it yesterday, and it is mint.

Congratulations! Now go shoot more film and show off your work to us.
