Does anyone have the filtration settings for the Durst 401 Laborator 1000?

I have a print out of Ilford's recommended settings for Durst enlargers which go to 130 max and also to 170 max but there is no mention of enlargers only going to 80 such as this one.

Hi Peter !
The 401 color head is not a Durst one. It was made by Pavelle. It's really old.
I doubt you'll find calibration figures for this head.
So you will need to calibrate by using either Paul Butzi's or Ralph Lambrechts methods.
But, owning a Laborator 1000 (with a CLS450 head), I suggest you buy an under the lens constrast filter set and use it instead... It could be a more practical and universal solution. (my CLS450 head does not allow for extreme contrast values be they soft or hard)
Hope this helps.

80? I've got the II which I think is a later Pavelle. It goes to 150 I think. 80 is a wierd number. Mine goes very soft. When I tested with the method in the Variable contrast book I hit below #0. On the high side I don't think I managed grade 4.5.

Do split filtering and you can ignore the numbers -)

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'll have to use one of the methods you mentioned Georges as I need this for fixed grade printing as well as for split.

I recently calibrated my color head: (there was a url link here which no longer exists)
