Hi all
To ask for some help, please... I just got a Schneider Symmar-S 6.8/360mm and it has a accessory thread with 120mm diameter, so it is a really big one... My question is: what filter system can I use on it?

Thank you very much.

B+W do 122mm filters - is that the size you need ?

I would be surprised if B+W don't do filters to fit Schneider Lenses - as they are part of the same company - although at that size your choice of what is available will be very limited

As an alternative, you might want to consider fitting standard glass filters to the rear of your lens instead.

The third alternative is to use a combination of 130mm Lee X-Pro and Cokin X-Pro resin filters (http://www.cokin.co.uk/pages/cokinX.htm)

The spec for the 360 Symmar-S really is 120mm. Also, AFAIK, the rear cell isn't threaded. So I'm afraid that lens will require an auxiliary filter holder with square filters or gels.

EDIT: Conceivably you could have a step-up ring fabricated, but 122mm filters will be extremely expensive and you'll have little choice of filter type.

Thank you Martin for your reply. Of course, Cokin X-pro will be the one, not very cheap, still better than Lee. I will build my own adapter, from cardboad. The problem is, not easy to find, this high end stuff...

Thank you Oren for your reply. As I said to Martin, I will try to find two basic ones for for B&W on the Cokin X-pro series, a yellow-green and red hard grad, maybe... if I can find it...
