I will definitely add EPR to the list. I forgot about that one, since I never really used it (in favor of EPN and then EPP).

The b/w paper situation is getting pretty messy, what with all the relabeling and such. Maybe I will have to limit this project to films and color papers only. I don't have much expertise in the area of b/w papers. I have used a variety, but always just stuck to five or six main types (Ilford MGIV RC, MGIV Warmtone FB, Oriental VC & G, Emaks and Varycon, mostly), so I really wouldn't have much to say about all the different types when it comes to preparing the project for presentation.

Yes...

Did we all completely miss the discontinuance of Kodak Supra Endura here at APUG? I certainly had no idea, and I buy the stuff pretty regularly. I know Portra and Ultra went away about 2-3 years ago...then I recently found out that the Ultra emulsion still exists, but in rolls only. (Happy surprise, but so sad that Portra did not survive in any form.) I had no idea that Supra went away, though. The funny part is that its discontinuance is in the same document as Portra's, yet that was at least two years ago, and I only saw Portra and Ultra disappear from shelves (and Kodak's Website), not Supra.

So, what the hell are schools who teach color neg printing (i.e. all "real" photo programs) going to do? Color printing just got a whole lot more expensive (and lower in quality) for schools and for students.

There was an online notice that Kodak said was a mistake. They claimed in their 'clarification' that rolls were being discontinued and sheets were staying. Apparently some new digital paper is replacing it.

In the confusion over that notice many of us contacted Kodak for clarification, we all got more or less the same message: Endura in sheets is staying. Then, within a couple of months, it's discontinued.

In the UK, Fuji CA is going to be cut by a 3rd party.

Also 2F/2F, you'll likely know the answer to this, but was EPJ/EPT discontinued in early 2006, or did it occur before then? The EPJ batch I shot expired 11/2005, which means it might have been in 2005. I have seen mention of 2006 expiry dates for EPJ, so I'm not really sure.

I don't recall any formal announcement from Kodak, but I remember going to get these in early 2007 and they had been gone by then.

BW400CN has been discontinued in 120 format, I had to ask Kodak and they confirmed.

It's still pretty easy to buy Fuji Crystal Archive in cut sheets in New York; both Adorama and B&H have it in stock. I hope it is around for awhile.

Production of Konica-Minolta films ceased in the period 2006-2007. For colour prints there was a premium Centuria line (100, 200, 400 & 800) and lower priced VX & VX+ films also were available in some outlets. Also at least two professional versions, and a couple of slide films (ISO 100 & 200). There were also two black & white films usually available only in Japan, & a C41 type B & W film - all gone. They also made colour printing paper but that business, unlike the film production line, was sold off to a 3rd party and presumably is still operating. Sometimes you can still find colour print films labelled Centuria but they are/were rebadged Ferrania products made for a different company.

Every time I buy a new (to me) Kodak film in 120/220, it seems to get discontinued. I have five rolls of BW400CN; I guess I shouldn't get used to it.

You may want to run out and stock up on Plus-X, since I just bought that recently as well.
