Filmosto Primascop, good or junk (this forum really needs a still projection section)?

I have the chance of getting one of these:

At first sight doesn’t seem like a quality item, but something about the construction tells me a bit of effort and ingenuity was put into it.
It’s a very open design, easy to clean and easy to get to all the parts.

Question is of course, is the optics up to snuff and is the condenser good enough?

It’s very light and small for what it is.

The best Filmosto lenses were triplets. I rather expect less for your model.

Thanks AgX! Seems you did a bit of research. Dare I ask about the source? Online?
I seem to remember a 2.8 lens on the one I saw. Bodes well I guess. A triplet need not be bad for projection.

I am into projectors. And I knew of this manufacturer. But GDR projection stuff is rare where I live and I only got one GDR projector, and of this Filmosto modeI I was even unaware. And only today I realized that the west-german Filmosto also made projectors. My archive is based on papers and books I schlepped home, but also of morsels I dug out of the net.

I am intrigued by this design. But if one is not into industrial design I do not see any reason for buying it other than its smallness. But then you get a non-modern lamp, no cooling, no trays. There are better german alternatives concerning smallness.

For 6x6‽ Do tell.
I have two Leitz 6x6, but they are pretty big and heavy.
This one weighs a few hundred grams.
The industrial design is quite special. Might just get it for that.
One could throw in LED source to up the brightness. Then you have a bagable 6x6 slide show.

There were two models concerning slide sizes. You have to find out yourself which model you are going to buy.
