can this machine handle 5x7 and has anybody done it?
thanks!!Hi Chris, there is a combined tank for 5x7" and 13x18cm. The tank is built to fit for both formats.
How did you store the films?
And I do worry if I could still use a batch of colorfilms stored in the frigo which have been expired two years ago ;-)I got a box of surplus cheap cameras that came with a free roll of film. They've probably been kicked around warehouses for the past decade or two. Who knows what temperatures they were exposed to.

Anything is shootable if you don't care...
A lot can be fixed working hybrid. My workflow:
So I bypass the scanner software.
- Nikon Coolscan 5000 ED
- VueScan
- "Raw scans"
- converting with ColorPerfect
- Adobe Camera Raw (as filter in Photoshop CC)
- further refinement/retouching in Photoshop CC
- preferring scripts provided by PixelGenius
But this is OT ;-)
"Raw scans" related to ColorPerfect, more information see here:I thought VueScan permits saving in .DNG format, which then allows true RAW editing in ACR?

Yes we've moved from a new film processor to "in-depth" hybrid on the analogue forum. As said above: off topic
C-41: How do you handle stabilizing your colorfilms? In the tank, out of the tank, film on reel or off? It is Said that the stabilizing bath may harm plastic parts.
Don't do the photoflo trick. I was told to do it a while back and since then I've found out it's not a good idea. I've stabbed over 100 rolls in my tank and no issues yet. Reels are fine too.
Suddenly I seem to have developed a severe case of GAS!
