Hi, hope it's not inappropriate to post this here.

I've created a Web site that allows people to post their film developing recipes and link them to photos on the photo sharing website Flickr.
This provides an easy way to see the results of different films in different developers.
You don't need a Flickr account to look at the recipes and photos, but you do need one to add a recipe.

The site is fairly new and we have 40+ recipes on there and about 100 tagged photos on Flickr.
I hope that it can grow to be a useful resource for the film developing community and of course would be grateful if people could consider adding their recipes there.

The site is at http://filmdev.org/

Thanks, Darren.

Darren. Have you given the full and correct URL. My Internet Explorer says it couldn't display the page. Anyone else had any difficulties

This could be very useful, but the possible permutations of films, developers and agitation techniques must be just about endless.

Not only that, but... ehm... getting the images from film to final form on a webpage can introduce huge aesthetic differences that drown out the differences between film / dev combinations.

Hi, I think the server had a glitch, it seems to be fine now.

Thanks all for your comments.

Good idea, it's on my todo list for when I have some free time.

I use the site already, and think it's a great idea. I upload straight scans without any adjustments at all, trying to show both good and bad results from a film. I believe this can grow into a very helpful resource.

Works fine for me on IE and firefox, but the term "recipe" brings to mind an list of ingredients for each developer, not film/dev combinations, so that threw me. I'd be helpful if format was taken into account also, but an interesting idea.

I think it's a cool idea. For example, Acros looks different when done in Super-Prodol and ID-11.
