Can somebody tell me if it's possible to find the film:
"The Photographer" made on 1947 by Willard Van Dyke for the State Dept.
Video or DVD.
The subject was Edward Weston and part was shot in Carmel in the darkroom.
Some images on the Weston web site in the family album.

Dead Link Removed

Making a search from France it's a bit difficult.

Thanks for any help.

Do a search on ebay for Edward Weston. The item is titled "Edward Weston, Photographer 1952 photo+ DVD"

Best,

Will

There WAS a Brett Weston video (of him working outdoors with an SL66) on youtube.com but it seems to be gone now. I was going to drop a link. Guess I should have when I saw it. Sorry guys.

I know of a guy, Tom Robinson, who is selling a DVD's of EW. I don't know if thats the film. Tom sells on ebay.

Thanks for such a fast answer.
I just ordered it.
I already have the one on Brett and it's really wonderfull with a lot of images extra.

I bought it off of ebay. I really enjoyed the film in many respects. The DVD came with a small print (fiber, of course) of Weston.

I felt it was worth the price.

I just received mine in the mail today (Monday) after ordering it only last Friday! Tom Robinson is really on the ball. Excellent IMO. Well worth the money. And the little print of Ed is quite nice as well. I believe this movie is now in the public domain? It is a home burned DVD with a paper label.

I received mine for lunch. Just a week going to France.
Nice print of EW portrait. I just had time to watch five minutes of the film but it seems wonderfull.
I thought I was with him, carrying the Ries and the cases.
Who is the lady ?

Edwards' OK I guess but the '46 Ford Woody makes me nuts!!!
