Film supplies in Bucharest...

Gosh. Well, it's been a few years since I came here, so I may be a little bit rusty... Apologies if I got the wrong forum!

So, the quick question - anyone know any good places for the supply of film and chemistry in Bucharest, Romania?


I'm going to go searching myself, but figured I'd ask here first of all. Oh, and since I live here now, if any APUGgers find themselves visiting this beautiful part of the world feel free to drop by for a drink or drop a line for any advice I can give .

(Actually, I may have just answered my own question after Googling - f64.ro . But hell, it's nice to be back on APUG anyway, I'm hoping to get my lost photographic mojo back after a few years of life being in hiatus .)

It's good to have you back Tim! I won't be making it as far east as Bucharest when I head to Europe this summer, but I think these kinds of questions (and answers!) are really useful for travelling (and local) photographers. I try to update my own blog (about travel and photography) about film store locations in various places in Japan. Big cities aren't usually a problem, but the smaller ones can be and I've spent many a wasted hour looking for shops that still have websites on the internet or appear on Google Maps, but are no longer around.

f64.ro has the most diversity. but if you're interested in 35mm c41 films you can find some at Miva Photo (Fujishop) at the Romana Square.

Good to know, thanks! I live on Str. George Enescu, so impressively bad that I've not found that place already ;-). Any idea if they stock any Ilford films? (Don't worry if not, I'll check the place out anyway.)


If they do, I've found perfection - f64 for chemistry and the like delivered to work and film supplies only a 5 minute walk away :-D.
