Hi Folks,
OK, so I joined the local South Eastern Connecticut Camera Club (yeah, yeah, yeah, I know). Anyway, I was drawn into helping the folks organize some speakers, so it got me thinking .... what an opportunity to get traditional film photography speakers!
So, I'm looking for folks who can speak on and/or demonstrate - nothing too fancy - on the following traditional film and hybrid topics:
- Alternative processes
- Polaroid transfers
- Scanning film - how to, what to look for to get best results, B&W versus colour scanning, film types
- Toy cameras - different types, types of results, where to get, etc...
- Historical cameras - antiques
- Large format cameras - what are they, brands, where to get them, resources
- Film and paper coating - maybe even a talk on film making process
- Environmentaly friendly darkrooms
Also other tiopics such as:
- Astronomy photography
- Travel photography
- Studio photography
- Underwater photography
- Lighting
- Flash photography
- Night / Twilight photography
- Framing for galleries, gifts and home
- Matting and mounting
- Photography websites - make your own, software, etc...
- Portfolios
- Composition, style, "rules", colour, balance, etc...
- Photography history
- Photography genres
Pretty much anything associated with photography.
The club meetings are twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, except December, June, July, August and holidays and meets at the Jordan Firehouse near Waterford/New London, CT at 7pm.
If you're interested in being a speaker or know of someone, send me a private message (PM).
Regards, Art.
