They have a VERY interesting collection of esoteric films for sale, both B&W and color. Some are the usual suspects, but many are respooled motion picture, technical, and industrial films. I'm very tempted to try some of these.

One that caught my attention which I posted about was the ASA/ISO 1.6 (that's one point six) color film.
 
Last year I bought 3 rolls of Color IR film from them. I had some processing issues with my first roll unfortunately. I just finished shooting my second and have mailed it out to be processed. They have very interesting films for sure.

If that was the film I looked at a few days ago, it looked to be very tricky to use and very expensive. It looks to be quite different from the Infrared Ektachrome that I remember. They give all kinds of warnings about processing and using in cameras that have LED sensors.

One thing I noticed, is that any of their films that have EXP in the product number are expired and untested, and not that much cheaper than the fresh versions. My only recent experience with expired film (a few rolls forgotten for a few years at home) was very disappointing, so I plan to stay far away from those particular types.
 

I used it in a manual camera but when it was processed it was mistakenly run through a machine and the IR senors in the machine caused issuesor so I'm told. Other than that I was fairly happy with the results and found it easy to use. I just threw an orange filter on, set the camera to ISO 320 and started shooting.

This was the film I used and I believe it's the same you're talking about. Dead Link Removed

The lab was kind enough to send me a new roll of the film for the mistake along with free processing for the new roll.

We seem to have moved into an era especially in the case of newcomers to film where expiry with exoticism beats fresh film as reflected in the price because that is what the market will bear. Part of the thrill seems to be whether the film will produce weird effects or anything at all. A bit like seeking out and buying delapidated cars and seeing how far you can travel before it breaks down Taken to its logical conclusion and to ensure uncertainty of outcome home processors should use old developer or if commercially processed ask the lab to use the chemicals that are waiting to be dumped

Is the colour infrared a custom made film or is it just the same old aerochrome?

It may be made by Kodak, based upon this post by Michael Rasso. However, the important thing is that it is fresh. He mentions a date of 2017, but the linked post is also at least a year old. I love shooting this film, and have had very good results with it, especially with orange filters (#16 and B+W 099).
