Film Photography Neophyte

Hello,

My name is Ricky Shull. I am an avid photographer who has recently made the switch from digital to film format. I shot digital for about the last five years and want to develop my skills in the world of film. I currently own and shoot with a Pentax K1000 and an AGFA PB20 Readyset foldable camera. In addition to photography I am a fan of music, and am passionate about cars and the automotive world (I own a 1987 BMW 635csi). I am from and live in Kansas City, Kansas.

Here is a sample of my digital work, as well as some recent scans of my film work. As you will see I've intertwined my hobbies and shoot a lot of automotive photography . I am very much looking forward to shooting film, learning more about the tricks of the trade and discussing subjects on this board!

Here is another photo I have just finished - It is supposed to be a visualization of one's memory by "opening the doorway" into one's mind. I filled the doorway with items that capture people's imaginations: animals, family, motorsports/mechanics, music. I was a little hurried to finish this photo so I will probably revisit, but am content with the results.
