In replying to another thread on another forum I searched and came across the following under the banner of Wikipedia. It is a list of all the films I have ever heard of and possily more I hadn't. It is a very comprehensive list and may be well worth a few minutes looking at it to read the information it holds

Look under the Wikipedia pages under List of discontinued photographic films https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_discontinued_photographic_films

Yep… very interesting. Some day it will hopefully be updated to include all of the come-and-gone repackaged/relabeled films, like those of Bergger, CatLabs and others.

Pretty impressive. It has some errors and omissions, but it is WIKI, after all. Very impressive.

It did not list Kodak VividColor nor Normal Color films under discontinued Kodak color negative films. No listings of discontinued slide films.

Isn't the concept of Wikipedia that any knowledgable (hopefully) person can edit the page to add new facts or correct erroneous facts?

Exactly -- but it's so much more fun to complain.

..but isn't the concept of a discussion forum that people express their views? The List Of.. page was introduced to us as 'a very comprehensive list'; and I think it's a worthwhile observation that it isn't anywhere near comprehensive.

Exactly -- but it's so reasonable to suggest that a body of knowledge as esteemed as this forum contribute knowledge to it.

It's the most comprehensive list I've seen, so in my book it qualifies as the "nearest." Please enlighten us if you know differently.
