Hello All,
Is it possible to use the film holders made for the Graflex SLR B and RB's, with the slot on the side in my non RB Speed Graphic.
Thanks
Arthur

nope, they are a different size film holder altogether.
... bigger than "modern" film holders.

Interesting answer. On the Grafloc back there are Graflex sliders. You can't use it under the spring back, but can you use it with the spring back removed?

just tried using a slotted 4x5 holder on my speed graphic with a grafloc back ..

the holders are "an edge" ( 1/8" ? ) too large
AND they don't have that bead that locks a modern
film holder into place .. you know, the ridge
near the top of the holder that keeps the light out.
it seems that the graflex/slotted holders are a
different system/different beast altogether.

The slotted Graphic holders are slightly bigger and thicker than the newer Graflex holders. The only way to use the slotted holders would be to fit an older Graphic back onto the Speed Graphic. My old Anni came with a Graphic back and I fitted a newer Graflex back on to it so I could use the same type holders that my Crown View uses.

I use my pre-anny speed more than my pacemaker speed because it has the dreaded "graflex" back. Bag mags for it are cheap on ebay. With a 127/4.7 Ektar, and the rangefinder adjusted for it, I have a handheld 4X5 rangefinder with a 12 shot film holder. Four bagmags give me a choice of film.

Thanks for the help. I guess I will need to search for regular non slotted holders. Do the MAG BAGS work in the speed GRAPHIC or only or the GRAFLEX SLR?

a bag mag will work with an slr, but not in a speed.
its the grand-pappy of the grafmatic which will work great in your speed ...
