I just got a old 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 auto graflex that has a pack holder, and I think it's the old non standard back. What do I need to get it going for sheet film.
what was available other than packs, and does anyone know who has holders for it (I will of course be keeping an eye out on ebay)? I'm hoping to make some lensboards this weekend, put a graf variable on it and do some portraits.
Thanks, Jamie

hi jamie

not sure what pack film holder you have ... maybe it is a "bag magazine" ... which has septums in it and a leather pouch on top. it is the grand-daddy of the grafmatic back ... if it is for pack film, i think that stuff hasn't been made in decades and you might be out of luck. you might contact http://www.pacificrimcamera.com or http://www.equinoxphotographic.com for slotted graflex film holders. they don't have them listed on-site, but it doesn't hurt ot ask  .

good luck!

I picked up an Auto last year and over time as able to get holders here and there. I now have enough to shoot, but was hopeing to see my order of 3x4 Tmax come along, J&C!! There is the bag mag, pack film holders and sheet film holders for the camera. If you read this over at graflex.org, http://www.graflex.org/articles/series-d/ scroll down and you'll see a title called film and accessories. The whole article concerns the RB, revolving back model, but if you look at the back you'll see the sliding locks are the same, so essentially the article covers our cameras as well.
