I recently obtained a 9 x 12 Van Neck VN press camera for purely nostalgic reasons. Back in the late 50's I used to help my uncle who was a Fleet Street photographer and he used one of these cameras. He gave me one of his old ones and I used it for many years. The camera I obtained has no film holders and I am wondering if any one knows the type it takes and could point me to where I might obtain a few. I am looking for the ones that take cut film and not plates. Back in the day the main option was glass plates but cut film is the best option nowadays.
Just a thought.. our 9x12 film holders for a different camera than yours, takes glass plates, as well as cut film. They have a spring back that pushes towards the top. Have used glass plate several times and cut film in them many a time. . .
Just in case it helps someone or even me, the Van Neck press camera seems to take a holder that is 100x150mm Edge groove not important.
The Zeiss 665/7 holder seems to fit. Finding holders with a film insert included is the hard part, and that sellers often do not include dimensions.
