Film flat digital dots lens, Harvard new invention

I read at google that some researchers could be focus 3 primary colors to same place with three layers of dotted digital printed flat lenses. Each layer for one color.

I know some small programs can change the focused color on design of these lenses.But if I change the setting to 600 , does it mean the lens would not transmit any other color ?

I mean you can set the color but what happens to other colors. I think that research is too much optimistic.
