Hi all,
I was hoping someone here may be able to identify an issue with a roll that I have processed.
The issue appears as a brownish stain on the negative, not immediately evident but visible under strong back light. Under a loupe it appears to be bubbly or well defined grain at the edges of the patch. It's not only patchy but also in wavy lines. Not all frames were affecting and it appears between frames indicating a film or dev issue.
I initially thought the stain may be a fixer issue and re-fixed the negatives to no avail.
Truly stumped and would appreciate any thoughts you may have. I have processed hundreds of rolls and it is the first time I've seen anything like this.
Some details:
Film: HP5 which has been through an unknown number of xray passes but less than 10. Always in carry on luggage.
Camera: Hasselblad 500C
Chemicals: Ilfosol 3, Ilfostop and Ilford Rapid fix
Patterson plastic reels and daylight developing tank.
Unfortunately no pictures of the negative as very difficult to capture the marks without scanning.
