film-biased photography groups - Manchester

Hi

I am looking to join a photography group, with at least some focus on film and preferably a darkroom in the Manchester area. I am willing to travel though. I have a passion for black and white photography and am interested in alternative photographic processes.

You could ask Jem Kime at The Real Camera Company, (Dale Street), he's a nice guy and knows a lot of people. There's also Tony Richards (Fourtoes) who runs some wet plate workshops. Both should be able to put you in touch with like minded people.

Also there's Nightlight Darkroom, ArtWork Atelier, 95 Greengate, Salford, M3 7NG, they are part of the Ilford Local Darkroom scheme.
