Hello,

I live overseas, and recently had a friend in the states send me some sheet film. He sent it by ship, so it'll take 4-6 weeks, and it'll probably be exposed to a lot of heat. So, I was curious just how much I should worry about this? Will the film definitely be fogged on arrival, or will it just have a shorter life span? Isn't most film shipped by sea nowadays? Thanks,

gB

I live in Norway and have film sent by air all the time, no problems ever. I wouldn`t worry too much about the film sent by sea, but personally I can`t stand waiting that long..

Here in Crete where heat is constant during the summer, I never known anyone to complain or to take precautions to protect their film. All of the stores have had the film for sale on regular shelves, only a couple that also carried slide film they had them in the fridge.
I keep mine (BW in 120) in the fridge but that's just me and because I have lots of it.
