Figured out a Trick to use Print File Negative pages.

I have been struggling to use the Print file pages.

I try to pull out one page and several come out of the package, and they get folds when trying to put them back.

Today, I took the catalogue insert that is in every package and stuck it between the last page and the rest of the pack. Presto, It was then easy to slip out the one page while leaving the rest stored nice and neat and clean in the envelope. A winner!

I knew there had to be some kind of trick to get those sleeves out, with out dragging 4 or 5 extra, Thanks cmad123.

I tend to put the whole pack in a ring binder. It's easy then to lift out one at a time. The empty ones are stored ready to use next to the full ones.

I always manage to drop the extra ones that come out, and then they get covered with dog hair and dust. I wish they were made from a material that does not attract dust! Thanks for this tip!!

Why would anyone use negative-sleeves that attract dust?

Hi Martin, well, I read reviews ( including comments here at APUG ) that were generally positive, and then I stocked up in large quantities. I use them because I have several packages of 100 sleeves, and didn't know anything better when I purchased them. The dust attraction is annoying but can be minimized by keeping unused sleeves in the original package until use, and then keeping the sleeves in a box or sealing ring binder. On the positive side, the plastic is clear and you can make nice contact proof sheets with them. But the answer to your question for me is "because I didn't know."

Fair enough. I started off with pergamin, tried plastic (of unknown sort) then went back to the paper ones and got rid of the plastic sort. There are some plastic flapped-pocket versions for individual negs that give the best protection which may also work well, but being able to afford those one would also be able to employ a fulltime dust removal employee to avoid the problem . . .

I need one of those full time dust removal employees at my house.
